Sun against

I like to think I can handle the sun in whatever dosage and exposure chance may provide, that it’s a nice-to-have, an elective. Most days, I even believe it. So when I drive home and catch a patch of sun against a building in a way I’ve not seen in a while, I nod and keep it moving.

A bit of wan, low sunlight out of the western evening sky hits the southwest corner of a squat square gray building Wednesday, January 17, 2023 in the 2700 block of San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley, California.
