De rigueur seven-song meme

“Agua,” Sisé
probably the hottest track on “More Shine”
“Ashamed of Myself,” Kelley Polar
Pitchfork Media review made me aware of it; beats out “Here in the Night” by a nose
“Bourgie Bourgie,” Gladys Knight & the Pips
didn’t know it started life as an Ashford & Simpson instrumental till J.Knox radioblogged it
“Clark Gable,” the Postal Service
plaintive like a motherfucker
“(Don’t) Give Hate a Chance,” Jamiroquai
discoriffic
“Every Generation,” Ronnie Laws
used to play on WHUR back home; it’s nice to see I didn’t hallucinate it (update: part of J.Knox’s latest radioblog, of course)
“Wichita Lineman,” the Meters
blogged it back in July; slowdanced to it at the bar last night

that Jamiroquai track was arguably the best single off that album. The Ronnie Laws and Gladys Knight and the Pips tracks? wonderful. me thinks you should probably do a radio blog, nah mean?
